Antoni Trenchev was born on March 15, 1987, in Munich, Germany.

He graduated from King's College London with a Bachelor of Laws degree in 2008. In 2010, he got his Master of Laws (LLM, German and European Law) from the Humboldt University of Berlin.

Antoni Trenchev Career

After graduation, he began his career as an independent trader and worked in the hedge fund industry before focusing on financial technology. From 2010 to 2017, he served as Director of Innovation and was a legal consultant at MDL Ltd.

From 2014 to 2017, he was a deputy in the National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria, representing the Reformist Bloc party. During his political career he participated in the meetings of the Committee for European Affairs and Oversight of European Funds, the Committee on Supervision of the Committee on Energy and Water Regulation and others. He has advocated for progressive legislation and the introduction of blockchain technology. He has also served on the Council of Europe's Committee on Social Affairs, Health and Sustainable Development, worked in the subcommittee on relations with the OECD and EBRD, and the Committee on Political Affairs and Democracy.

In 2018, he founded the cryptocurrency lending company Nexo Capital Inc. with his university pal Kosta Kantchev.
Antoni is currently the Managing Partner of Nexo, as well as a commentator on CNBC and Bloomberg cable channels.
