Is Xbox Getting Crypto Wallets In The Next Update?
According to some leaked information, it has been revealed that Microsoft will implement cryptocurrency wallets in the next update of the Xbox console as early as 2024.
In addition to cryptocurrency support, AI and machine learning are also expected to be integrated. These technologies are aimed at improving character dialogs and FPS. The console will also be fully digital.
However, Microsoft has neither officially confirmed nor denied the information about the introduction of cryptocurrencies on Xbox. Moreover, the slides that have leaked online date back to May 2022, and the report indicates the launch of the next-generation consoles is set for 2028.
Still, the community is confident that the tech giant will implement cryptocurrency wallets in the updated console. Among the arguments are the growing popularity of Web-3 games and Microsoft's advantage over Sony, which the company can gain by introducing cryptocurrencies. Additionally, reports surfaced in March that Microsoft was planning to introduce cryptocurrency wallets into its Edge browser.
