Shares of mining companies have risen in price due to the growth of bitcoin
The increase in the bitcoin exchange rate has led to the fact that the securities of the largest cryptocurrency mining companies have also become more expensive.
The EMBI Global Digital Assets Mining Index, which includes data on the 20 largest manners, such as Riot Blockchain, Galaxy Digital, Bitfarms and Iris Energy, has grown by 64% since the beginning of January 2023. This month, the indicator showed the largest growth since its creation in December 2021, the publication noted.
According to the agency, the securities of some other companies increased by 120-140%. At the same time, the first cryptocurrency has been growing since the beginning of January and has already risen in price by more than a quarter (26.5%), to 21 thousand. Against the background of positive dynamics in the market, miners' incomes also increased. At the same time, the complexity of bitcoin mining has grown to record levels, as there are more and more miners.
