Operation Mechanism
Transaction initiation occurs through a secure channel by the wallet owners, whether they're online or offline.
The transaction signing process employs the Schnorr protocol by both participating wallets.
Transaction dispatch to node
Each transaction comprises Inputs and Outputs shown through Pedersen Commitments, alongside explicit fees and kernels. Furthermore, it includes a non-interactive zero-knowledge range proof ensuring the transaction output value is positive.
Node’s transaction verification
The verification of each transaction is done against the latest blockchain state, maintained as a Merkle Tree. The block header captures the tree's root hash along with a proof of work. Moreover, nodes generate a compacted history periodically to facilitate the 'fast sync' for new and existing nodes.
Inclusion in the mining pool
A block is mined every minute, thereafter it's returned to the node for verification and dissemination.
Distribution of mined blocks
A valid block that extends the longest chain is adopted as the new Tip and is distributed further, ensuring full consensus is achieved.
Efficient Synchronization
A new node joining the network can request a compacted history that includes only the system state and blockchain headers, eliminating the need for downloading the entire transaction history.
