Wormhole Launched Airdrop. Users Remained Displeased
Wormhole, a platform for exchanging data between more than 30 blockchains, launched 617 million W tokens airdrop. However, this event has caused the community nothing but discontent.
Wormhole has conducted a significant token airdrop for the community, distributing 617 million (W) tokens to eligible participants. The distribution was made possible following an audit conducted by the Uniswap Foundation’s Bridge Assessment Committee, which identified eligible recipients based on their activity within the network.

The protocol distributed tokens to users of Ethereum, Solana, and other blockchains as well as community projects. On February 6th, Wormhole performed a wallet snapshot to identify eligible recipients. A total of 400,000 unique addresses have registered for the airdrop, which is expected to benefit a significant portion of the community.
Most of the tokens were intended to be distributed to users who had used Wormhole in more than 30 eligible networks. These networks included Solana, Ethereum, Avalanche, Aptos, BNB Chain, and Sui. Additionally, the protocol had launched a special eligibility verification tracker.
However, users soon began to raise questions, and some expressed their dissatisfaction through social media platform X. Many users reported difficulties accessing the eligibility tracker, as they were unable to connect their wallets. Wormhole has assured that this issue will be addressed.
Some users are not seeing a result when connecting their EVM account(s) in the checker. This is currently being investigated, and we will report back as soon as possible with updates on when these users should re-check. https://t.co/i8qnAyfeTF

However, when users attempted to launch the tracking tool, the results were unsatisfactory. They expressed that they had not received their tokens, despite meeting all the required conditions.
I didn't receive any airdrop from Wormhole despite using the platform. It's disappointing to be left out, especially when I've been actively participating. I've filled out the form provided to hopefully rectify this issue and receive what I'm owed. Transparency and fairness are…

On the other hand, some users noted that they had received W tokens, despite their relatively low activity within the ecosystem.
I bridged 0 and got 8k W🤝
