Bitcoin SV (BSV) was created from a division in the Bitcoin Cash (BCH) network in 2018, which itself had separated from the original Bitcoin (BTC) network the year before. The mission behind Bitcoin SV is to realize the initial blueprint of the Bitcoin network and its architecture, as laid out in Satoshi Nakamoto's foundational paper, alongside the first Bitcoin client software and documented correspondences from Satoshi.
