Bahamut leverages FTN as its core currency, positioned within a distinct, layer 1 EVM-compatible blockchain framework. It pioneers the PoSA consensus mechanism, which stands for Proof of Stake and Activity. This innovative approach evaluates Activity through the gas expenditure associated with the interaction of users and smart contracts introduced by validators. Essentially, the higher the gas consumption by a specific smart contract, the greater the likelihood for its validator creator to assume the role of a block producer in subsequent epochs.

The backstory of the project.
Originally, FTN was introduced as an ERC20 token within the SoftConstruct and Fastex networks. Following the launch of the Bahamut mainnet on May 3, 2023, with FTN as the foundational token, a transition commenced from the Ethereum blockchain to Bahamut, a process which is periodically advancing.
