A Popular Crypto Influencer Has Been Arrested
Ben "BitBoy" Armstrong continues to make media headlines. This time, the police arrested the crypto influencer during his livestream due to a dispute with his former business partner.
Ben Armstrong has come to epitomize the phenomenon where being an influencer can take away your ability to influence. In late August, Hit Network, the company that controls the BitBoy Crypto brand, cut ties with Armstrong due to his drinking problems and the financial damage he had done to employees.
Yesterday, BJ Investment Holdings, the parent company of Hit network, took decisive legal action in removing Ben Armstrong from the company, and specifically the Bitboy Crypto brand. https://t.co/e0kYLKUZ4r

Armstrong's name then came up in a class action lawsuit filed by FTX clients, where the influencer was accused of promoting the bankrupt exchange. Armstrong openly insulted and threatened legal professionals. He channeled his voice to insult dignitaries, including SEC Chairman Gary Gensler. Still, in the story of the dishonorable discharge, the community sided with Armstrong. For a while...
Attempts to reclaim his brand were unsuccessful, and Armstrong became mired in lawsuits, with money begging from his audience. The news of the once popular crypto influencer, who wore expensive brands and bought sports cars, and is now begging for money for his lawsuits, has caused a stir in the crypto community. While some were outraged over Armstrong's brazenness, others managed to donate $60,000 in cryptocurrency to him.
Thank you guys so much for the donations so far. I know it’s hard out there for people and I’m so appreciative that you guys have chosen to help me.

Truly humbled by everyone.
It was revealed today that Ben Armstrong's disagreement with his former business partners has reached a new level, as the crypto influencer was arrested right during his livestream. According to some reports, Armstrong was transporting a weapon in the backseat of his car. Armstrong tried to confront Carlos Diaz, accusing him of stealing his Lamborghini car. Armstrong claimed that Diaz threatened him and his wife with violence.
The livestream included a piece with Armstrong being interrogated by police officers. Many viewers wondered whether it was all true or one big show, but after a while Carlos Diaz confirmed the fact that Armstrong came to his house with threats.
