Elizabeth Warren says crypto industry is afraid of strong SEC
During a live broadcast on YouTube, Senator Elizabeth Warren from Massachusetts expressed her strong position on the topic of the cryptocurrency sector. She called on the Security and Exchange Commission (SEC) to make more efforts to combat crypto fraud.
According to her, the SEC is the most suitable, because it has the right approach, rules and guidelines that meet all the necessary requirements to combat cryptocurrencies.
Warren also mentioned environmental pollution and called on authorized environmental agencies to fight crypto-miners in order to improve the environmental situation in the country. She further criticized “crypto-friendly” banks, as, in her opinion, they expose the banking system to greater risk.
Recall that Senator Warren proposed a strict crypto bill to expand the powers of the SEC in order to place the asset class under the jurisdiction of the US SEC.
