Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Wants to Put the Entire U.S. Budget on Blockchain
U.S. presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said he would put the entire U.S. budget on blockchain if he wins the election.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is a supporter of Bitcoin and decentralized technology. During a Michigan rally on April 21, he said he would put the entire U.S. budget into blockchain if he won the election.
"We’re gonna have 300 million eyeballs on our budget, and if somebody is spending $16,000 for a toilet seat, everybody’s gonna know about it." Kennedy Jr. emphasized, explaining the greater transparency that allows taxpayers to keep tabs on where their tax dollars are being spent.

American presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. wants to put the entire United States budget on a blockchain.
Kennedy Jr.'s statement was welcomed by the cryptocurrency community, which considered the move revolutionary. Some even wrote that blockchain would be an ideal solution in the fight against corruption.
transparent public accounting might be the best use case for blockchain tech besides supply chain. checks and balances in our government doesn't work if the branches are in on the corruption together (president and congress particularly) it's time the people hold them accountable https://t.co/pROe4WKOjs

Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson also expressed his support.
However, other market participants saw this as implicit support for the creation of the CBDC, which contradicts the idea of transparency that the candidate stated in Michigan. The proponents of this theory probably failed to take into account that Kennedy Jr. opposed the creation of the CBDC because it violates privacy.
Not only is Kennedy Jr. a strong supporter of Bitcoin, but he also became the first candidate to accept Bitcoin donations for his campaign. Interestingly, he has pledged to back the U.S. dollar with Bitcoin.
